Our dear sister, wife, mother and grandmother Beverly Rae (Dye) Hansen, 84 years young, completed her earthly life’s journey gently, while holding the hand of her sweetheart, on Sunday, May 26, 2019, in Idaho Falls, ID She was born June 21, 1934 in Firth, ID to Willard E and (Lucy) Thelma Cox Dye, joining an older brother Lyman, aged 18 months. She was a beautiful dark-haired beauty who grew into the role of wife and mother and her bonus role as grandmother. She married her life’s love, DeLynn Hansen on June 9, 1953, in the Idaho Falls Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They are the parents of nine children (five daughters: Debbie, Cheryl, DeAnne, Karen and Susan and four sons: Brad, David, Brent and Eric) who then produced 20 grandchildren, who then produced 24 great-grandchildren, the newest having been born May 29th. They shared 66 wonderful years together as friends, companions and sweethearts. Just recently she looked at Dad, shaking her finger for emphasis and said, “you KNOW we’ve been married for 195 years!”

She was a faithful and humble member of the Church as she served in the Young Women’s, Relief Society and in multiple music callings. She was an accomplished pianist, organist and vocalist. She also served with her husband as ordinance workers in the Idaho Falls Temple for 7 years.

She was beautiful inside and out and has taught her family and others she came in contact with how to serve and love unconditionally. She was creative from her head to her feet. She was an excellent seamstress, creating many of her childrens’ clothes. She could sew from any pattern or create her own if needed. She was seldom idle and always had to be doing something with her hands, whether that be crocheting her famous hotpads, putting on another quilt or multiples, doing word searches and crosswords to keep her mind active or baking some scrumptious dessert or meal which was often shared with others in need. She loved the holidays and gathering her family close to share a good meal and make more memories.

She was at times very proper and dignified, but she had a keen and clever wit and loved to get the best of a situation, hoping for the “last word”. She loved to tickle and tease and her grandchildren have that as a lasting memory.

She always tried to find the positive in every situation and taught us, “if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all!” Be honest, kind and loving and expect the same of others. She was a loyal daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She had a strong testimony of living prophets, of Joseph Smith and of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her membership in His church was very dear to her as was the influence of temples, from the days of her youth until the end of her life. She loves all her children and grandchildren and has hope and faith that they will continue to choose to follow the path and example that Christ has set for us all.

We love and adore our sweet Beverly: sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. “Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy and rest of the Lord.”

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1st, 2019 at the Ammon 1st Ward Bldg., 3000 Central Avenue, Ammon, ID with a viewing prior from 12:30-1:45 p.m. Interment will be in the Ammon Cemetery. Condolences may be sent online at www.coltrinmortuary.com
