Robinson, Gene Of Scotts, MI Gene Robinson, 77, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019. He was born April 27, 1942 in Kalamazoo. Gene was united in marriage to the former Shirley "Sam" Wells on June 15, 2001. Gene served in the U.S. Navy until honorably discharged. Gene is survived by his wife, Shirley "Sam" Robinson; children, Frank (Christie) Robinson and Becky Robinson-Barry and Lisa (Mike) Boven; several grand and great-grandchildren; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Thelma (Campbell) Robinson. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, May 29th from 12-2:00pm pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave., where a funeral service will start at 2:00pm. A private interment will take place at a later date at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. Memorial donations may be directed to North Shore Animal League.
