As the anchor of her family, she was a devoted wife, a loving mother and a doting grandmother. To those who knew her, she was the nicest person they'd ever known. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her husband, gardening and antiquing. Some years, she sold home-grown tomatoes—more for the opportunity to talk to people and share with them rather than making a sale. If something broke she could fix it, and if it wasn't fixable she'd find a new purpose for it.
Mrs. Estes was dearly loved by her husband of 55 years Harold Grady Estes; her children Kevin (Kathy Lawson) Estes and Amy (Mike) Montanari; grandchildren Olivia Montanari and Grady Montanari; and a host of loving family, loved ones, and friends.
The family received friends at H.M. Patterson & Son – Canton Hill Chapel, in Marietta. The Funeral Service was held at New Providence Baptist Church in Marietta. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
