Funeral service for Mrs. Sarah McKever Ashley will be 12 Noon Saturday in the Effingham Baptist Church. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens directed by Peoples Funeral Service of Florence. She died Sunday August 23, 2015. She was born in in Florence County a daughter of the late Sylvester and Alberta James McKever. She was a faithful member of the Effingham Baptist Church, where she served as a member of the Missionary Society and Senior Choir. Survivors include: two sons, Robert (Lillie) Ashley and Charles (Doris) Ashley; four sisters, Lauretta (Roosevelt Williams, Catherine Ramos, Italy Perrin and Mildred (Ulysses) Brockington; a brother, Sylvester (Birdie Mae) McKever; a sister-in-law, Mary McKever; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.The family is receiving friends at 232 Lester Ave., Florence.
