Edna Helen Avey Reid, age 87, long time resident of Cypress, TX passed away peacefully on Monday, September 18 in Tomball, TX. Edna was born in Houston, TX on April 22, 1930.

She is survived by her husband of seventy years, Ed and their five children. Helen Blaylock (Gary) of Coldspring, TX, Barbara Falkenhagen (Chuck) of Galveston, Texas, Wesley Reid (Vicki) of Cypress, TX, Paul Reid (Patty) of Huntsville, TX and Marty Reid (Casey) of Cypress, TX. Edna was also the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Julia Hogan of Tomball, TX.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 30 at St. Peter's Anglican Church, 19923 Cypress Church Rd. Cypress, TX, 77433. Visitation will be from 9:30am-10:30am with services beginning at 10:30am, lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, for those desiring, contributions can be made to her church
