Matthew Brian Ballard, 30, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2015, in Louisville.

He was a native of Bardstown, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and a member of the Catholic faith.

He was a big outdoor enthusiast.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles “Sonny” Cambron; and his paternal grandmother, Mary Frances Parrin.

He is survived by his wife,

Jami Renee Coulter Ballard;

one son

Hunter Ballard;

his parents,

Richard Dale and Patricia Ann Cambron Ballard of Bardstown;

one sister,

Ashley Ballard of Bardstown;

one brother,

Chris Ballard of Bardstown;

his maternal grandmother,

Shirley Cambron of Springfield;

three nieces and two nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Chaplain Doug Alexander officiating.

Burial is in the Holy Rosary Cemetery at Manton.

Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, and after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
