Lisa Barnes Cooper died suddenly at the age of 58. Lisa was born January 25th, 1961 in Winston Salem, NC to the late William Boyd Barnes and Helen Elizabeth Barnes. Lisa married her husband and high school sweetheart, Philip Edward Cooper, May 28, 1983. Lisa was a proud Army wife of 20 years, 7 of which were spent in her home away from home, Germany. She enjoyed RVing with her husband, FNDs, spending time with family and her Mimi time with Ellie. She was a kind and loving wife and the best mother her children could have ever asked for. She touched so many lives with her loving nature and we will always remember her beautiful smile and comforting laugh. Lisa is survived by her husband Philip, children Jake Cooper and wife Meghan Cooper of Matthews, NC, Sam Cooper of Walnut Cove, NC, Hope Cooper of Raleigh, NC, granddaughter Ellen "Ellie" Cooper of Matthews, NC and her brother Mark Barnes of Virginia Beach, VA. A gathering of friends and family will be held at St. Mark United Methodist Church in Walnut Cove from 10:00 am-12:00 pm Monday, May 27th.
