BASEL, Agnes Marie (nee Hojnocki) - Passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 18th, 2010 at the Fairhaven Nursing Home in Peterborough at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Walter Andrew. Loving mother of Walter Kenneth and his wife Nancy Elizabeth of Peterborough. Cherished grandma of Steven, James and Traci Lynn. Dear sister of Pauline Suidy of Grandview, Manitoba. Predeceased by her brother Peter. Mrs. Basel was a member of St. Alfred's Church. Mrs. Basel is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will take place on Tuesday at 3p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine Street on Wednesday at 11am. Rite of committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
