Our loving husband, Dad, Papa, Uncle and Friend passed away May 5th, 2019 from complications during surgery. Richard was born February 16, 1951 to Dean and Maxine Anderton in San Francisco, California and moved to Utah when he was nine months old. He married Judy Opoulos on November 17, 1973 and was happily married for 45 years. Richard and Judy had two sons Paul Anderton and Shawn Anderton. Richard spent 28 years working for teamsters as a dock worker and driver.

Richard was an avid fisherman and loved camping with his family. He was a master gardener, and loved giving away his tomato’s and zucchini and other vegetables. He loved all living creatures and raised chickens. He was very passionate about his volunteer work. He spent his weekdays helping with his church and volunteering with political organizations. Although he loved his garden, chickens and volunteer work, his love and joy was his family and especially his grandchildren.
