Formerly of Tewksbury, MA and North Fort Myers, FL, Evelyn most recently resided at The Pines of Newmarket in New Hampshire.
Evelyn was married to the love of her life, Edward Walker Willis, for 56 years until he passed in 2001. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years at Associated Printing Inks in Tewskbury, MA, where Ed was a partner.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Tomlinson, Sharyn Olander, and Robin Willis; her sons-in-law, Dan Tomlinson, Bob Olander, and Phil Bernard; a brother, Chet Button; and two sisters, Shirley Anstey and Marilyn Weatherbee.
She was predeceased by sister, Elizabeth Fosse.
Evelyn will be missed by her grandchildren, Jay McLaughlin, Shawn McLaughlin, and Savannah Dos Santos; as well as her great-grandchildren, Marya McLaughlin, Sydney McLaughlin, Kristin Hand, and Taliah Dos Santos.
Evelyn was a wonderful mother who loved the ocean and traveling. Friends and family will remember her epic cooking and entertaining, and will miss her smile, optimism, and sense of humor and adventure. She was fun to be around, always had to touch the water at the beach, and was usually the first one to jump in.
There will be a short graveside ceremony and interment at Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East Street, Tewksbury, MA, on Tuesday, May 28 at noon.
