WILLIAMSPORT - Iva Ellen Stenger, 90, of Route 2, died Wednesday, 29 December 1982 at the Washington County Hospital at Hagerstown, Maryland.
She was born near Williamsport, the daughter of Melvin Thomas and Margaret Ann Ridenour Flora. Iva married Leslie Summers Stenger, 3 February 1917, at the Methodist Church Parsonage in Williamsport. He died 31 October 1980.
She was a member of the Williamsport United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Irene Shank, Mrs. Clara Pryor, Mrs. Mildred McKee, Mrs. Bernice Boyd and Mrs. Marcelyn Forsythe, all of Williamsport; one son, Leslie S. Stenger, Jr. of Williamsport; one sister, Miss Edith Flora of Williamsport; one brother, Bruce R. Flora of Beloit, Wisconsin; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Williamsport United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Donald L. Burgard officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home in Williamsport Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Williamsport United Methodist Church.
