Charlotte I. Lock, 83, of Moline, died Monday, April 25, 2005, at Rosewood Care Center, Moline.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Esterdahl Mortuary, 6601 38th Ave., Moline, with the Rev. Tim Green of Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island, officiating. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.
Charlotte was born Jan. 27, 1922, in Quincy, Ill., daughter of Fred and Pansy Brown Lomax. She married Louis Louck Sr. in 1940 in Quincy. She then married Charles Bodeman in 1951 in South Dakota. She later married Leo Lock on Aug. 25, 1956. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1993.
Charlotte was an owner, operator and cook at various restaurants in the area. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, Moline, and Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island. Charlotte was very involved in fundraisers for child abuse. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved cooking, playing bingo and gambling at the casinos. She especially loved her two dogs, Heidi and Roxi.
Survivors (and spouses) include her daughters, Judith K. (Michael) Brems, Moline, Deborah M. Rewerts, Rock Island; sons, Louis K. (JoAnn) Louck Jr., Moline, Gregory D. (Amy) Lock, East Moline; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Russell (Marilyn) Lomax, Warsaw, Ill., Maurice Lomax, Lima, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two sisters, Donna Franks and Katherine Rollins.
