Jeanne had four marriages during the course of her life, all tumultuous and brief.
Her first was at the age of 18 to David Yandell Wrather. They divorced in 1924.
Second marriage to David Smith Thomas on 03 May 1925 at Long Beach, Los Angeles County, as Jeanette Catherine Axford Wrather.
Third marriage to Curtis Perry Bower on 26 October 1931 at Los Angeles, as Jeanne Axford Thomas. Their marriage lasted all of five weeks.
Fourth marriage to Frank Fredrick French on 30 December 1944 at Jacksonville, Onslow County, North Carolina, (again) as Jeanne Axford Thomas.
