Gerry was born on June 28, 1948, in Appleton city, Missouri, the son of Rollie and Jean (Taylor) spears. He graduated from Butler High School, Butler, MO in 1966. He was a simple and hardworking man. Gerry worked as an Advertising Executive for the Thrifty Nickel for over 30 years. He was a huge sports fan and loved going bowling. Gerry will be deeply missed by his family.
Gerry married Deborah Kay Zellmer May 18, 1974 Virginia, Bates, MO with Rev. Charles D Pence solemnizing. He married Beverly J. Medling March 27, 1978 Jackson County, MO. He married Cindy Antoinette Hefty November 12, 1988 Kansas City, Jackson, MO.
His survivors include his daughter, Nikki String (Nikki) of Independence; four grandchildren: Cierra, Anna, Hailie, and Hunter; and one great-granddaughter, Everleigh. He was preceded in death by his parents.
