Mr. Evans was born on May 4, 1955, to the late Edward Evans, Sr. and Doretha Evans in Laurens County. He was a 1975 graduate of Dublin High School and was retired. He departed this life on Saturday, May 18, 2019.
Mr. Evans is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Evans, Sr., and Doretha Evans, two brothers, Ulysses Evans and Albert Evans, Sr., sister-in-law, Zellie Evans, and by his niece, Lasonya Evans.
Mr. Evans leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Katherlene, children, Shawanda Burnett of Dublin, Tina (Donnell Sr.) Evans of Columbia, South Carolina, Javis Evans of Stone Mountain, and Yolanda Evans of Doraville; five grandchildren, Maurice Berrian, Jr. and Donnell Evans, Jr. both of Columbia, South Carolina, and three others of Dublin; brothers, Edward Evans of East Dublin, Eddie Evans of Dublin and Linton Evans of Cochran; sister, Dorothy (Prentice) Rozier of Dublin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bobby (Bernice) Payne of Montrose, Wallace (Pamela) Payne, Alton Payne, Florialene Payne, Judy (Willie Frank) Smith, Gloris Sleighman and Rev. James (Carolyn) McMillian all of Dublin; godson, Garry Wells of Dublin; and a host of other relatives and friends.
