Born April 16, 1965 in San Benito, TX, the daughter of Dario and Tomasita (Lino), Muniz, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. Gloria and her family moved to Lansing in 1966 and she graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1983. She worked as a customer service representative for AT&T. She had a giving heart and would buy clothes every year to give to the children at St. Vincent Home for Children. She would also make blankets and purchase clothing for the homeless and migrant workers. She loved butterflies and her favorite color was purple. Gloria met her beloved husband Dallas and they were married August 11, 2001.
Surviving is her husband Dallas, her parents Dario and Tomasita Muniz, her mother in law and father in law Norma and Bill Greene, 5 siblings: Maria (Tom) Hufnagel, Dalia Muniz, Dario Jr. (Dana) Muniz, Lonnie Muniz and Danny Muniz, brother in laws and sister in laws: Deb (Scot) Withrow, Cindy (Charlie) Hoover and Bill Greene, nieces and nephews: Nick Withrow, Austin Greene, Savannah Greene, Joseph Hufnagel, Ashley (Ryan) Hufnagel-Beaudrie, Alexandria Muniz, Lauren Muniz, Jessica Keaton and Kiersten Keaton, 2 aunts, Fela Muniz and Beautrice Cervantes, an uncle Israel Sosa and many loving cousins and friends.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 10:00AM at St. Mary Cathedral with Rev. Fr. Karl Pung as celebrant. Rite of committal will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 5-8PM at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 520 E. Mt. Hope Ave, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:00PM. Visitation Saturday at St. Mary Cathedral will begin at 9:00AM.
