Veteran - U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 and was stationed in France and Germany.
Over the years he was employed at local mills such as Raymond Bucks Saw Mill in West Rupert, Lewis’ Mill in West Rupert, Red Mill in Arlington, Shushan Bentwood in Shushan until he retired. After retirement he was a janitor at the Salem United Methodist Church and the Bancroft Public Library.
In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoyed collecting items associated with eagles; working in his garage; wood crafting; riding bikes with his wife and watching the birds at the bird feeders.

Predeceased by his parents and a brother-in-law, Arnold Bebee.
