Cpl. Zachary A. Grass of Beach City, Ohio was a 2003 graduate of Fairless High School where he played basketball and baseball. He was a guard for the Falcons from his sophomore through senior years. On leave earlier in the year he dropped by the school to check in with his former teachers and coaches. After a year and a half at Stark State College, he joined the Army in 2005. A typical kid he loved to ride 4 wheelers, play golf, play video games and hanging out with his buddies. He was preceded in death by a his maternal grandparents, Elizabeth (Payer) Steiner-Register, and Joseph Steiner, his paternal grandfather, William H. Grass and two uncles, Joseph & Edward Steiner. He was 22.
