Lee Allen Womack, 63, of Moline died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at his home.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. A memorial visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Per his wishes, his body will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arrowhead Ranch or The special-education class at Woodrow Wilson Middle School, Moline.
Lee was born June 11, 1938, in Danville, Ill., to Paul and Eileen (Kagy) Womack. He married Peggy Jean ''Peg'' Willhite, Nov. 26, 1959, in Milan.
Lee owned the Lee Womack Insurance Agency since 1980. Before that he was president of Mr. Quick Restaurants, of which he owned several in the Midwest; he also owned area Porkies Restaurants. Before working for Mr. Quick he sold insurance for his parents' agency.
His first love was teaching; he taught at Central Junior High for eight years.
Lee was a member of Pheasants Forever and the National Rifle Association. Lee had a deep love of his family and friends. He always made sure everyone was happy. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Peg; sons and daughter-in-law, Scott and Caroline Womack, Palatine, Ill., and Steven Womack, Las Vegas, Nev.; grandsons, Benjamin and Ryan, both of Palatine; mother, Veronica Womack, Arkansas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul (Diane) Womack and Richard Womack, both of Arkansas, Jim (Jan) Womack, Illinois, Earl (Sandy) Womack, Florida, and Jeff (Sherri) Womack, Davenport; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dorothy and John Willhite; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Berk (Kathy) Willhite; sister-in-law, Kathie Womack; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, grandparents and an infant brother.
