Eileen R. Madden, 92, of Moline, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, 6601 38th Ave., Moline. As Eileen wished, there will be no funeral services. She will be buried in a private graveside service to be attended by family members only. Memorials may be made to the Galesburg Rescue Mission.

Eileen was born Aug. 14, 1923, in Crandon, Wis., the daughter of Roy A. and Myrth Faulkner Whitt. She married Roscoe E. Madden on Jan. 4, 1941, in Crandon. He preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 2005.
Eileen was employed by Rand's Department Store, owned her own restaurant, called "Eileen's," and retired from A & P in 1980. She was an avid bowler, loved babies and kittens and was a fabulous cook and baker. She also was a professional shopper. Above all, she loved her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Virginia Watkins, Moline, and Sherry (Jack) Pasco, Moline; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, one sister and a great-grandchild.
