Kenneth Dean Staggs, 82, of Pleasant Plains, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 23, 2019. He was born September 7, 1936 in Pleasant Plains a son of the late Aubrey and Fannie (Martin) Staggs. He was a long time cattle farmer and enjoyed working on his farm. Dean was a member of the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church and retired from the Arkansas State Forestry Commission after 35 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Louise Staggs; sons, Kenny Lynn Staggs (Shelia) and Kendell Lee Staggs (Lisa); brother, Clentis Staggs (Nellie); sister, Kathleen Trewyn (Dale); grandchildren, Ashley Hernandez (Steve), Nathan Staggs, Kendra Staggs Harrell (Randy), Andrew Hess (Jenifer) and Robby Coppens (Tracey); great-grandchildren, Dylan Harrell, Gage Hess and Kaylah Edwards.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ledoy Staggs.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Union Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Dean Staggs to the Union Grove Cemetery – 439 Union Grove Road – Pleasant Plains, Arkansas 72568.
