Celebration of Life for Jacob E. Bowen, 26, Lawrence, will be at 2 pm Wednesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home & Crematory. Cremation will follow the service.

Jacob died Monday, May 20, 2019, in Lakewood, Colorado, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born April 25, 1993, in Loveland, Colorado, the son of Irvin R. Bowen. He graduated from Ottawa High School.

Jacob had worked at Printing Solutions in North Lawrence, and was working at Jet.com in Gardner at the time of his death.

He enjoyed all sports, playing Fortnight, participating in pickup football games, and was a big fan of the Denver Broncos, the Jayhawks, and the Royals.

Survivors include his fiancé, Bailey Nichole Myers and their two children, Declan and Olivia, of the home; his parents, Irvin Bowen & Brenda Bowen, Lawrence; siblings Levi Bowen, Lawrence, Lisa Black and significant other Stephen Griffith, Kansas City, Mo., Lori Rachelle and husband Eric, Gardner, Gabby Garcia and husband Giles, Lawrence, Joni Ridinger, Lawrence, Carrie Black, Ottawa, and Jason Black, Alabama.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, memo: Jacob Bowen, and sent to 601 Indiana St., Lawrence, KS, 66044.
