DECEMBER 14, 1950 ~ MAY 7, 2019 (AGE 68)

Cheryl Faye Morgan (68) passed away Tuesday May 7, 2019 at Magnolia Regional Health Center surrounded by her husband and children. Cheryl was born December 14, 1950, in Memphis, TN to Luther and Ruby Faye Marshall. On April 1, 1969, she wed Gary Morgan in a small ceremony in Memphis, TN. After many years, moves, and birthing four children, they settled at Atlasta Farm in New Site, MS. It was there that they finished raising their beautiful family. She retired from her career of bus driving for the Prentiss County School District after many years of dedicated service. She was an avid reader, gifted crafter and skilled seamstress. One of her biggest passions was children. She loved her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and the various other little ones she collected along the way. A celebration of Cheryl's life will be held at Little Brown Free Will Baptist Church in New Site on Friday May 10, 2019 at 11 am with Rev. Terry Arnold officiating. Visitation will be 10 am until service time. Burial will be in Little Brown Cemetery. A reception will be held at Gary and Cheryl's house following the funeral. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gary Morgan; her four children, Jason Morgan, Kimberly Howard (Mark), Johnathan Morgan (Robin) and Karen Joshlin (Matthew); her grandchildren, Katlin Sullivan (Tristan), Anna Grace Morgan, Kinsey Howard, Elisha Howard, Alyssa Morgan, Zoey Morgan, Callis Joshlin and AJ Joshlin; her much anticipated great-grandchild, Layton Sullivan; her dearest mother-in-law, Katie Lou Morgan; her brothers, Charles Howard (Pat), James Marshall (Brenda) and Tommy Marshall (Treva); her sisters, Betty Martin (Bobby) and Carol Hill; her brother-in-law, Jimmy Morgan (Judy); her sisters-in-law, Sue Floyd, Paullette Starling (Don), Amanda Boren (Don) and Jo Leta Morgan and many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her father-in-law, Lonnie Morgan; her brothers, Andrew Marshall I, Junior Marshall and Walter Howard; her sister, Bessi Ruth Turner; brothers-in-law, Gus Turner, Randel Floyd and G.E. Morgan and her sister-in-law, Annie Marshall. Special thanks to the staff of Magnolia Regional Hospital's SICU and MICU. The level of care Cheryl received was unprecedented. Her family is grateful for the doctors and nurses who tirelessly carried them through this journey.
