Jean Asbill Ward, the wife of William N. “Bill” Ward, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 22, 2019. Jean was born at Forest Hill, Kentucky, daughter of the late Russell and Mary E. Pigg Asbill. She attended grade school at Forrest Hill and White Hall schools and was a 1947 graduate of Central High School. Following graduation she attended Bryant & Stratton Business College in Louisville. For over 38 years she worked as an accountant and office manager of the Meadow Gold Ice Cream Company in Richmond. Following her retirement, she worked as a clerk in the gift shop at Fort Boonesboro State Park. Jean was a member of The First Baptist Church of Richmond. In addition she was a member of the Bethany/Gleaners Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her husband: Bill Ward; as well as several cousins including, Betty Pigg Wells.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas M. Asbill and her sister: Nancy Asbill Reeves.

Funeral Services at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, Richmond, Ky with Rev. Bill Fort officiating. Burial in the Richmond Cemetery.
