Merritt Laverne Karr, 65, died Thursday, June 14, 2007, at his residence in Logan.

Mr. Karr was born Nov. 30, 1941 in Knoxville, Iowa. He had been
a Logan resident for about 12 years. He was a retired truck driver.
He served in the U.S. Navy.

Surviving Mr. Karr are two daughters, Rita Gee of Harvey, Iowa, and Angela Bennett of Des Moines, Iowa, one son, James Karr of Runnells, Iowa. Also surviving are his mother, Wilma Karr of Knoxville, a sister, Barb Allen, also of Knoxville, five grandchildren and a stepdaughter, Heather Calbert of Logan.

Oscar Coelho of St. Anne's Catholic Church will officiate at the services.

Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
