Ronald was born in Elk Point, South Dakota on September 16, 1935 to Edward and Ella (Howe) Hoffman.
Ronald was united in marriage to Beverley Clifford on September 8, 1956. To this union, five children were born, Scott, Rhonda, Mark, Kelly, and Dena.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Beverley Hoffman of Elk Point, SD: his sons, Scott (Patricia) Hoffman of Pierre, SD, and Mark (Becky) Hoffman of Elk Point, SD; his daughters, Rhonda (Jeff) Reed of Brookings, SD , Kelly (Todd) Heine of Vermillion, SD, and Dena (Jason) Fornwald of Albert Lea, MN; his 14 grandchildren, Chris Hoffman, Tyler Hoffman, Kyle Bibby, Alex Hoffman, Andrew Heine, Regan Heine, Dirk Fornwald, Meghan Bibby, Stefani Schelhaas, Carlie Weinandt, Natalie Hoffman, Allison Heine, Sydney Fornwald, and Camille Fornwald; and 2 great-grandchildren, Hank Hoffman, and Grace Hoffman; his sisters, Kay (Darmon) Staum and Shirley (Jon) Larsen all of Elk Point, SD and his sister-in-law, Dorothy Hoffman of Canton, SD.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Richard Hoffman.
