Pvt.Rollie Virgil Jr.Eggers was killed during landing on beach on Leyte Island Nov.3,1944 during the bombing of his ship he was blown overboard and his body wasn't found till next day.He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. He was with 796th Engineers Forestry Battalion.
He was married to Jean Harrington first, and second to Katheryn L. Whittington Oct.13,1941 Renton, King Co. Washington.

Son of Helen Yaryan Eggers Rubattino and Rollie Eggers.
