SPENCE - LISA Lynn (Buchanan) passed away June 6, 2015, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. She was born May 19, 1966, in Ohio, and lived at various times in North Carolina, Florida, West Virginia, and Allegany County, Maryland, most recently in Frostburg. Lisa started her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at The Heinzerling Foundation in Columbus, Ohio, and continued that work at the Frostburg Village Nursing Home and at Appalachian Crossroads. Always known as sweet and sensitive to people, she was also an avid animal lover and is especially missed by Bella and baby at home. Nature and reading were other avocations. Lisa’s pride, joy, and hope is her son, Aaron Dale Spence, of Corriganville. She also loved much and was much loved by others who remain, her mother, Sara (Sally) Buchanan; her brothers, David Buchanan and Chris Buchanan and his wife, Kim; her sister, Laura Barton Weimer and her husband, Carl; her nephew, Evan Barton; her nephew, Wesley Barton and Nicole and Anna; her nephew, Ryan Buchanan and Karen and Bryson; her niece, Krista Buchanan; her uncles and aunts, David and Joanne Rees, David and Joan Bohnert, Matt and Darryl Howard, Geraldine and Kenneth Ellis, Terry and Barbara Buchanan; and cousins Kim Cox, Scott Bohnert, Kevin Bohnert, Megan Rees, Jane Chuppa, Margaret Murawski, Catherine Elizabeth Rees, Jean Lewis, Keith Ellis, Tracy Ellis, Nikki Street, Deanna Buchanan, Kelly Buchanan, and their families. Lisa was always generous in life and continued as an organ and tissue donor through The Living Legacy Foundation (www.donatelifemaryland.org) and a body donor through Anatomy Gifts Registry (www.anatomygifts.org.) In loving memory of Lisa, her family urges everyone to persist vigorously in seeking medical diagnoses for unexplained symptoms.
