Randy was born to James Delbert and Marjorie Ann (Williams) Russell. He married Lea Ann Litchfield on April 2, 1982, in Peoria.

Surviving are his wife; his parents; four children, Theresa (Jeremey) Zipper, James (Alisha) Russell, Timothy (Brittany) Russell and Emilea Russell; seven grandchildren, Alecea, Dakota, Marriah, Hayden, Kai Lynn, Keegan and Ella; five siblings, Peggy Russell, Richard Russell (Cindy Macri Russell), Sue (Chris) Peterson, David (Sharon) Russell and Gail Russell; and many nieces and nephews.

Randy worked as a shift superintendent at ADM for 30 years, and he loved riding his motorcycle. Randy was a long-standing member of New Attitude Motorcycle Club and he was one of the founding members and Peoria Area Chapter president.

Cremation will be accorded and burial of the urn will be at a later date.
