Herman Wade was the first of his family to be born in a hospital 25 Jul 1943. He was the surprise 3rd baby of Vera and Orwood. He was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Samuel High School and then attended University of Texas in Arlington for his bachelor's degree. He was active in the ROTC, joined the Army and served a tour in Vietnam in 1963-64. He was an artillery officer.

Herman then attended the University of Texas to get his PhD in Physics. He was an active member on Chi Alpha (Assemblies of God college organization). There he met his wife and they married 22 May 1971. He graduated from UT in 1973 and began an over 25 year career at Texas Instruments working on calculators and printers. He had 2 pattens on calculators.

After Herman retired from TI, he became a lecturer in the computer science department at UT Dallas.

He is survived by his wife, 2 children, and 4 grandchildren.
