Visitation for Paul Hudson has been scheduled for Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Leonard & Marker Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Bixby.
Paul Richard Hudson was born on July 25, 1941 in Leonard, OK to Alfred Scott and Wanda Hazel (Dickey) Hudson. He passed from this life on Friday, May 17, 2019 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 77 years, 9 months & 22 days.
Paul was a well known and respected resident of the Leonard community for virtually all of his life. He married Jerry (Cox) Hudson on Christmas Eve 1959 in Haskell, Oklahoma. In 1966 he became a firefighter for the Tulsa Fire Department serving from 1966 to 1997, retiring with the rank of Assistant Chief after 31 years of service. Paul was a lifelong farmer and hard worker. On his days off from the fire department he enjoyed growing different crops on the family farm in Leonard. Pecans were his current endeavor and his pecan grove was kept immaculately neat and clean.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred & Wanda as well as 1 grandson, Larry Paul Hudson.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over 59 years, Jerry Hudson, 1 daughter; Janelle Hibberts and her husband Charles of Cypress, TX, 2 sons; David Hudson and his wife Marsha of Rogers, AR & Russell Hudson and his wife Sheri of Bixby, 1 sister; Barbara Brock and her husband Dan of The Woodlands, TX, 8 grandchildren; Kasey Hibberts, Nicole Hibberts, Merideth Hanks, Dallas Tucker, Mallory Hudson, Garrett Hudson, Randall Edge & Andrea Hudson, 4 great-grandchildren; Miles, Mason, Macklin & Maverick Hanks along with several other relatives and numerous longtime friends.
