William Henry was killed by train in May 1902 in Crawford County Arkansas
he was a saloon owner in Van Buren, AR. in the late 1890's. Ownership is documented in the court records in Crawford Co., AR. William was found guilty of gaming march 23 1880. He was fined $10.00 and jailed for 36 & 4 3/4 days in Crawford County jail. He also owned a Saloon in Mountainburg, AR. during this time. Ethel Peters Taylor papers say that he was killed in a train wreck. William was the Crawford County assessor in 1890. He probably is buried in Peters Cemetery his first wife and Children are buried there. William and Emily were married by Francis H. Berna.
When I started researching this lineage I found two cemeteries locations for Williams second wife one at Peters Cemetery Mountainburg, Crawford County, Arkansas, USA This memorial has no stone. .That being said, there is a stone at Fairview Cemetery Van Buren, Crawford County, Arkansas, USA . Mary Wells Peter Born September 9, 1860 died March 30, 1944 wife of William H. Peters is on the stone. I am thinking that the second wife Mary Calonia Wells Peters is buried in Fairview Cemtery and not Peters.
