Nancy Lee Holmes was born at home on June 18, 1933 to S. O. Jr. and Elise Holmes. She spent her childhood on "McClung Hill"' then moved to Hemitage and later 305 8th Street.
The last two years of her life were spent at Whitesburg Gardens.
Nancy had many friends, and loved them all, and the feeling was mutual.
She is survived by her brother, David (Sara) Holmes, niece Martina (Steffen) Strayer, nephews Brian (Melissa) Herbert and Patrick (Melynda) Herbert as well as cousins Nadean McArthur, Joan Johnson, Linda (Sam) Sullins, Taffy (Buddy) Walker, Dee and John McRae, Betty Jane (Eddie) Gardner and Gail (Chuck) Blunt and extended family at 305 8th Street.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Diane Herbert.
Visitation is Saturday, May 25, 2009, 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to 305 8th Street or a charity of your choice
