Michelle D. Welch, 48, of Sanford, died Monday, May 20, 2019 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice in Scarborough. She was born April 20, 1971 in Portland, the daughter of Robert G. and LaVaughn (Veysey) Roy and was educated in Biddeford schools.
On June 11, 1988, she married Guy Welch in Biddeford.
Michelle had been employed as a CNA and Medical Technician at Greenwood Nursing Center, Varney Crossing and the Newton Center, retiring last August due to illness.
Preceding her in death was her brother, Daniel “Danzilla” Roy, March 30, 2012.
Surviving are: Her husband of 30 years: Guy Welch of Sanford; 2 daughters: Cheyenne Welch of Sanford; Dallas Welch of Seabrook, NH; 1 son: Guy Welch of Sanford; 3 grandchildren: Caiden and Lincoln Dauteuil; Mia Lopez; 1 brother: James Oens-Roy and wife Rachel of Strafford, NH.
Visiting Hours will be 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery in Sanford.
