Richard Legrand Elmore, age 87, passed Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at his home after an illness.
Born in Florence County, he was the son of the late Mattison Hugo Elmore Sr. and Beatrice Lee Elmore. He was a farmer with an Agricultural degree from Florence Darlington Technical College. After retiring from farming, he became an avid bird dog trainer for members of the community and beyond. He was a member of Olanta Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Cribb, Mary Cliff Johnson, Mary Alice Harrelson; two brothers, M.H. Elmore and Frank Elmore.
He will be missed by his family and friends.
