Calvin "Gene" Thomas, 84, of Dry Ridge Kentucky died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018 at St Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood Kentucky. He was the son of the late Joseph Everett and Rena Neal Thomas. Calvin was a member of Dry Ridge Baptist Church.
Calvin was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Janet C. Thomas, nee Evans (1933-2017). Survivors include his son, Jeff Thomas of Williamstown; his daughter, Lori Ann Reed of Ladson, South Carolina; brothers, Cecil Thomas of Creve Coeur, Missouri and James Thomas of Dry Ridge and two sisters, Sue Hegyvary of Bellevue, Washington and Faye Marksberry of Williamstown.
Calvin served his country for 10 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a retired farmer and electronics technician.
Visitation was Monday Dec. 17 at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge. Graveside services and burial with military honors were at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown Kentucky following the visitation.
