Duane Roger Miller age 66 of Albion passed away at his home on Friday, May 17, 2019. He was born June 18, 1952 in Albion the son of Gaylord and Evelyn (Tasker) Miller and they precede him in death along with an infant sister, Susan Miller. He was a 1971 graduate of Albion High School. Duane served our country in the Army National Guard and worked over 30 years in the construction industry, first for Shultz Construction, then owning his own business, Miller-Booth Construction. He was very highly regarded and good at his trade. Duane was a good-hearted, loving man who thoroughly enjoyed his family, especially his grandkids. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to Northern Michigan and loved hunting and fishing. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Susan Smith-Miller, whom he married in Jackson on January 7, 2004, children: Susan (Scott) Godair of Jackson, Laura (Mike) Bonney of Bellville, IL; step-children: Rollen Smith of Jackson, Ryan Smith of Albion, Kyle Smith of Georgia; 11 grandchildren: Kameron, Nolan, Sophie, C.J., Alex, Bryan, Ryan, Marissa, Remington, Blake, Samantha; siblings: Doug (Donna) Miller, Debbie (Tom) Conley, Dawn (Claude) Leyva, Dan (Terri) Miller. Duane’s family will celebrate his life on Thursday, May 23, 2019 beginning with visitation at 10AM until the time of service at 11AM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion with Pastor Allen Henson officiating. Burial at Albion Memory Gardens with Military Honors. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s or the Wilderness Fund.
