A loving daughter of Sylvester Tomaszewski and Helen Hill, Misty was born in Danville, Illinois on September 5, 1958.
Misty is survived by her husband, Monty Gresham, her three children, Kyle, Kiva and Keaton), her siblings, Shelley, Eric and Michael and her grandchildren, Bailey, Natalia, Andromeda and Raven. Misty recently welcomed her first great-grandchild, Violet into the world three months ago.
Misty moved to Albuquerque as a child. Misty graduated from Manzano High School in 1976 and worked various jobs throughout her lifetime. Misty ran a home daycare and had great affection for the children she looked after. Her favorite job was working as the Fitness Coordinator for the Santa Ana Pueblo. Misty always welcomed her clients with a heartfelt smile and genuine hospitality.
Misty had a vibrant personality and always made people around her laugh with her witty sense of humor. Misty was kind, compassionate and a friend to all. Misty befriended those that needed her most. Misty enjoyed going to Jazzercise, swimming, playing volleyball, working out and dancing... especially on the Wii. Misty cherished family trips to the lake, where she loved to boat, water ski and jet ski. Misty loved to travel and always reminisced on the wonderful time she spent in Hawaii, Trinidad & Tobago and Ireland.
Misty was a dedicated wife and mother. Misty was her husband's biggest fan at basketball games and wholeheartedly cheered her children on during BMX biking events, soccer games and football games. Misty offered her family support, encouragement and comfort with all of their endeavors and expected nothing but love in return. Misty was a faithful dog mom and enjoyed taking her dog Shaq to the park. Sometimes she would even surprise him with a hamburger on the way home.
Misty was a devoted caregiver to her mother, who passed away from cancer in 2007. Misty truly cherished the time she spent with her mother.
Misty was a joyful servant of God. Misty will be deeply missed, her smile will always be remembered and the wonderful sound of her laughter will never be forgotten.
