CARR, Sarah Lee, age 96, passed away peacefully in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 27, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at Pine View Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gerald Wood officiating and Wetumpka Memorial Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers include Perry McCain, Chad Strickland, Matt McCain, Tanner Payton, Turner Payton, Chad Strickland, II and Conner Strickland. Ms. Carr is preceded in death by her husband, John L. Carr; her father, Nash D. Cox; her mother, Pauline Ashworth Cox; one brother, John D. Cox, and one sister, Margaret Cox. Survivors include one son, Ed Carr (Mary Anna); one daughter, Leigh McCain (Perry); three grandchildren, Carrie Carr Strickland (Chad), Heather Carr Godwin, and Matthew L. McCain; and four great grandchildren, Tanner Payton, Turner Payton, Chad Strickland, II, and Conner Strickland.
