A member of the Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church for 76 years, J. B. loved the Lord. He was a devoted witness asking anyone if they knew the Lord. J. B. loved to quail hunt, play golf and spend time in his garden. Upon retirement after 33 years of service with R. J. Reynolds, Inc. he spent his time enjoying his family and the outdoors.
J. B. was preceded in death by his parents, John Bennette Faucette, Sr. and Thelma Chappell Faucette; sisters, Mildred Abbott and Ruby Lee Faucette and his brother, Jack Faucette.
He was married to Carolyn Weaver Faucette and they would have celebrated 60 years of love and devotion in December. From their union came two sons, Jay and Todd. His family includes Todd's wife, Melane and Jay's wife, Heather and four grandchildren, Bennette, Stephen, Jessica and Nolan. A sister, Sue Cooper of Bradenton, FL also survives.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 19 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Page Bible Class, c/o Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church, 301 N. Woodrow Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
