Jimmie D. Wilson was born on May 17, 1939 to James E. and Evelyn M. Wilsonin Twin Falls, Idaho. He lived in Twin Falls, Boise, Aberdeen and Pocatello. He served in the US Army from 1957 through 1959. He was a specialist 4th Class. Jimmie started working for the City of Pocatello in 1962. Upon his retirement, he received the “Key to the City” award. Jimmie married Dorothy A. Hoadley on September 29, 1962Among his hobbies, Jimmie enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and going on long drives.
Jimmie passed away peacefully due to natural causes at his home in Pocatello at the age of 79 on May 12, 2019. He was preceded in death by his dear wife, Dorothy A. Hoadley Wilson; his parents, James and Evelyn Wilson; brothers, LeRoy Wilson and Bobby Wilson; sisters, Morna Clark and Darlene Morgan; sister-in-law, Elaine Wilson; brother-in-laws, Sam Clark, Ray Morgan, Bill Hoadley, Walter Gray and Milton Hoadley. Jimmie is survived by his son, Dean Wilson; daughters Tereasa Carter and Katrena Wilson; sister, Barbara Ann; sisters-in-law, Libby Hoadley, Ruth Hoadley and Barbara Gray; as well as five grandchildren, Cassie Carter, Carlee (Kyle) Manteca, Joey Newman, Cheyanne Newman-Wilson and Dale Newman-Wilson; five great grandchildren, Kasin, Carson, Hudsen, Lucas and Sullivan.
A funeral procession lead by the Patriot Guard rRiders will leave Downard Funeral Home, 241 North Garfield, Pocatello at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, May 21st to arrive at Restlawn Cemetery for Military Rites offered by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard at 3:00 PM. A reception for family and friends will follow back at the funeral home.
