Mrs. Williams was a United States Navy veteran; and a Licensed Practical Nurse for Britthaven of Kinston. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin Royce and Nellie Bell Rippen Mitchell; and sister, Judy Allen. Survivors include her husband, James Leroy Williams; son, Kristinn James Williams; daughter, Denise Marie Williams Potter; sister, Carol Ann Martin; five sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. She was 57.
