Obituary
Sherry Lynn (nee DeYoung) White, 73, lost her battle with cancer on April 20th, 2019, at Sunrise Senior Living in Naperville, IL. Sherry was born and raised in Dolton, IL, the only daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin (Lorraine) DeYoung. Her step-mother, Ruby DeYoung, preceded her in death in 2018 as well as her husband, Clark White, in 2016.

Sherry's passion was gardening. She received much happiness from tending to her backyard and making it beautiful. She also enjoyed music, singing and dancing. However her greatest joy was her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was also blessed with friends who truly loved and cared for her.

Sherry is survived by her daughter, Brenda Faye Beltz (Joseph) of Aurora, a step-sister, Marcia Sliger, of Hot Springs, AR and six grandchildren; Michael Kocour of Denver, CO, Joshua Beltz of Gulf Breeze, FL, and Lauren Varjan, Jared Beltz, Julia Beltz and Bethany Beltz all of Aurora.

A private memorial service for Sherry will be held in late May at Homewood Memorial Gardens in Homewood, IL. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations may be made in Sherry's memory to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, a charity dear to her heart. Arrangements handled by the Cremation Society of Illinois.
