Age 80, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Arbor Hospice Residence in Saline. She was born on August 3, 1938 in Freeburn, Kentucky to Samuel and Samantha Mae (Mounts) Parks. On November 18, 1955 she married Willie Anderson in Ypsilanti and he survives. Juanita was a bus driver for Milan Area Schools for 12 years retiring in 1985. She was an avid and talented sewer, seamstress, quilter and tailor for Montgomery Ward. She and her husband sang with the Southern Echoes Blue Grass Band throughout Southern Michigan but still was very devoted to her husband and family. Juanita was a natural teacher, mentor and proud of her Southern heritage which she expressed this pride to her family through cooking, especially her chocolate gravy. Survivors include her husband Willie of 63 years, one daughter, Rhonda (Eugene) Stimson of Monroe, one son, Jim (Kimberly) Anderson of Milan, 4 grandchildren (Jake, Katie, Nick and Samantha), 7 great-grandchildren (Addison, Peyton, Ella, Eliana, Izayah, Lyfe and Asher), and one sister, Betty Brenay of Florida, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Robert. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 11:00am from Stark Funeral Service with Ron Moore Officiating. Burial will follow in Union- Udell Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 4-8pm at Stark Funeral Service.
