Brenda Kay Lowe Pruitt, age 54 of North Tazewell, VA died Friday, May 17, 2019 at her home. Born May 26, 1964 at Richlands, VA, she was a daughter of the late Albert Peery “A.P.” Lowe and Salina Lambert Lowe. Brenda loved all her grandchildren with all her heart. She was a hard worker and loved gardening, hunting and fishing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Henry Lowe.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Russell Pruitt; daughters, Virginia Bogle and fiancé, Richard Hess and Hope Pruitt and Michael Underwood all of North Tazewell, VA; grandchildren, Andrew Bogle, Carl Gates, Billy Gates, and Karen Hess; sisters, Bertha Hagy of North Tazewell, VA and Rita Peck of Princeton, WV; brothers, Bill Lowe, Jerry Lowe, Ralph Lowe and Peggy, Larry Lowe and Lilly all of North Tazewell, VA, James Lowe of Bishop, VA, and Prentice Lowe of Roanoke, VA.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Monday, May 20, 2019 at Peery & St.Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA where funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM with Pastor Carol Cornwell officiating. Burial will follow at the Gillespie Cemetery at Thompson Valley, VA. Pallbearers are Junior Flanagin, Bill Lowe, Bryant Flanagin, Tommy Bowling, Kevin Peck, and Jason Pruitt. Honorary pallbearers are Andrew Bogle, Lewis Gates, and Michael Underwood.
