Judith A. Steele, age 77, of Yorkville, IL, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Season’s Hospice in Naperville, IL. She was born on May 30, 1940 in Sandwich, IL, the daughter of Russell and Marcella (Johnson) Wollenweber.
Judith was united in marriage on October 14, 1961 to Mr. Charles H. Steele and the spent the next 57 happy years of their lives together. Mrs. Steele was a member of Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL. She was formerly employed in the Food Service Department at Yorkville High School and was at this time employed as a cook for the Fox Valley Senior Services at the Beecher Center in Yorkville, IL. She was at one time employed at Farmers State Bank and ASCS both in Yorkville, IL. Judith was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Chuck Steele of Yorkville, IL; her daughter, Teresa “Teri” Steele of Yorkville, IL; her sister, Norma (Harold) Carlson of Morris, IL; as well as one niece and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Marcella Wollenweber; and her son, Todd Allen Steele on December 29, 1997. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Cross Lutheran Church, 8609 Route 47, Yorkville, IL. Interment will take place at a later date in the Cross Lutheran Cemetery in Yorkville, IL.
