Mr. Edward Arthur Fields, 78, of Goodman, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday morning, May 14, 2019, in the comfort of his home after a recent decline in health.

Edward entered this life on September 28, 1940, in Osawatomie, Kansas, born to the union of the late Charlie and Thelma (Wieland) Fields. He attended Osawatomie schools and served his country faithfully in the United States Navy for twenty years, retiring in 1977. He was on the Newton McDonald County Landfill Board and served the city of Goodman as Mayor.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Charles, Herman and Bob Fields; two sisters, Dorothy Barrett and Jodie Clearwater; and a stepson, Tony Mitchell.

Edward is survived by his wife; five children; four grandsons; four granddaughters; a brother; as well as a host of other family and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held at a later late. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
