Louise Wood, age 78, of Belle, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Phelps Health in Rolla.

Louise was born on October 16, 1940 in Malden, MO., a daughter to the late James and Goldie (Craft) Stubblefield. On March 18, 1963, she was united in marriage to Boyd Wood who preceded her in death on November 20, 2000.

Louise was a CNA at the Gasconade Manor in Owensville for over 30 years. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, word search and watching Westerns, but she especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her dogs Junior and Rosie. She was of the Baptist/Pencostal faith.

Louise is survived by: three sons, Bobby Gann and his wife Cynthia of Holts Summit, Doug McGowin and his wife Anne of Belle, Jim Wood and Judy Miller of Meta; seven grandchildren; Kimberly Preis and her husband David, Michael Gann and his wife Amber, Megan McGowin, Adam McGowin, Savannah Wood, Brittyn Wood, and Dallas Wood; two great grandchildren, Jorey Preis and Brogan Gann; three sisters, Patricia Lorraine and her husband Denny of Bon Terre, MO., Carol Hale and her husband Don of East Alton, ILL., Brenda Keating of Belle, along with many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

In addition to her husband of 37 years, Louise was preceded in death by one daughter, Teresa Daniels, two granddaughters, Jennifer Wehmeyer and Tiney Mae Hoogendorn, one great granddaughter, Arizona Wood; two great grandsons, Shannon Wood and Blain Hoogendoorn; two sisters, Mary Stubblefield and Norma Masters and one brother, James Larry Stubblefield.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Sassmann's Chapel in Belle. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2019, at Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle with Pastor Jimmy Hance officiating. Interment will follow at the Countryside Memorial Gardens near Owensville.
