Barbara was united in marriage for 66 years to her beloved husband, Carl. For almost 60 years they resided in Clarkston, Michigan before moving to Williamston where they shared a home with their daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. Barbara dedicated her life to homemaking and raising a family. There is nothing she desired more than to excel as a wife, mother, and grandmother.
For many years, Barbara was an active member of Church of the Resurrection in Clarkston where she taught Sunday school. She enjoyed golfing, gardening, cooking, crafting, reading, crossword puzzles, and shopping with friends.
She participated in a weekly bowling league until the age of 80. Barbara will be remembered as a strong, capable, and determined woman who lived through difficult trials without wavering in love and devotion for her family.
Barbara has one surviving sibling, a younger brother, David Lewis, from California. She is also survived by her husband Carl, and four children: Terry (Dawn) Coulter, Mike Coulter, Chris Coulter, and Sandy (Phil) Dufrin.
She leaves behind a legacy of dearly loved grandchildren: Cory, Moriah, Nathan, Abigail, Samuel, Aaron, and Noah.
Barbara was preceded in death by her five-year-old daughter, Lisa Ann in 1968; four-year-old granddaughter, Hannah Marie in 2004; daughter-in-law, LaDonna in 2014; adult grandson, Andrew in 2019.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 21, 2019. Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery, 6150 White Lake Road, Clarkston
