In 1914, on May 1, in Inverness, Montana, Vera Mae was the first child born to Elva Gould and Lester Livingston Barringer of Iowa.
Two years later, her brother was born, but died at age 2.
In 1920, her sister Emma Louise was born. Emma outlived Vera.

In 1926, on Christmas Day in Great Falls, Cascade, Montana, her mother re-married to George Washington Yeager.
In 1928 on April 4 in Emmetsburg, Palo Alto, Iowa, her father re-married to Mabel Florence Crooker Leach/Lack.

In 1930, on October in Choteau, Montana, Vera married Hugh Francis Havens of Oregon birth. Together they had 3 children, two girls and a boy. (by 1942, Hugh remarried).

In 1939, Vera Havens married fellow divorcee Raymond Vincent Woods. Together they had a girl and a boy.

In 1944, on July 24 in Shelby, Montana, Vera Woods married Shelby native Clyde Gilbert Martin. Together they had two boys and a girl.

In 1955, Vera Martin married Kansas native Willard Art "Pete" Skinner. Together, they had two boys.

She suffered from hypertension and became diabetic.
In 1991, at a family reunion, she had a photo taken with all of her children. She is in the front middle.
In 1992, after the onset of heart disease, she had retired from her Dillon home to a nursing home near at least two of her children. Art Skinner reported information for her death certificate.

DILLON - Vera Skinner, 79, a former Great Falls resident, died Friday of natural causes in a Dillon nursing home. Private services were held by the family in Dillon.
Skinner was born May 28, 1914 in Inverness to Lester and Elva (not Evla) Barringer. She lived in several Montana cities throughout her life, including Dutton, Great Falls, north of Shelby and Dillon.
She enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid reader of Montana history, and a local sports fan.
Her husband(s) preceded her in death, Willard Art Skinner (the latest).
Surviving are a sister, Emma Lucero of Augusta, 10 children (edited for privacy):
